The rooms of the Homburg Paper Mill, a 17th century complex, and the Homburg Castle, a 16th century half-timbered building, are used for the Summer Academy courses. In addition, we use rooms that are made available to us for the Academy week: The castle barn of the municipality of Homburg directly on the Schlossplatz and the renovated barn of a winery.
A lively, interdisciplinary exchange is the goal of our workshops - Homburg is a small town and so all course locations are only a few minutes' walk away. Our courses are complemented by a creative, exciting supporting programme with Qi Gong, lectures, film evening, wine culture/tasting and enjoyment.
Individual support in small groups by experienced, internationally renowned lecturers and professional workshops and studios ensure the high standard of the Summer Academy. In a "lecturer's exhibition" in the rooms of the Museum Papiermühle Homburg, the Summer Academy instructors will present selected works.
The Summer Academy ends on Fridays with the tour, in which all courses present and explain the works of the course week.
It is possible to take a scholarship in the courses of the Summer Academy. There are every year scholarships to young people who are in an Artistic Training.

Creating paper is fun to do and the result will make you very happy. In my studio at the Lindengracht in Amsterdam I do workshops for one day of papermaking. You first make pulp and practice creating and I show all kinds of examples. Then you go to work yourself and I help you where necessary and answer the questions that undoubtedly arise. At the end of the day you learned a lot about handmade paper and you can take a nice stack home with you.
In my studio we make paper of white and colored paper remnants.
The largest mould and deckle are A4 size.
Such a day is for a minimum and a maximum of two people and lasts from 11.00 to 16.00 o’clock and costs fifty euros per person. Children from eight years old can also participate well. Put together a duo and contact me, then we can arrange a date.
