Bulletins

The Bulletin provides the opportunity to contribute texts on paper-related themes and paper samples to share with other members. The content includes substantial articles concerning specific papermaking techniques, essays of historical interest, features of contemporary artistic approaches, reports on international developments, interviews and reviews of exhibitions.

Bulletin Subscription

The Bulletin Subscription is offered to libraries, universities, and other institutions with an interest in paper art, hand papermaking, and book arts.
Paper art has been expanding since the 1970s, and the Bulletin traces contemporary international developments in the field.
The annual subscription is one print copy of the full-color journal with tipped in swatches, along with the PDF for wider distribution among your institution’s readers.

CONFLUENCE

IAPMA e.V. Bulletin Vol. 62
Editors: Jacqueline Mallegni and Heather Matthew
Theme: Confluence

Like last year the Bulletin has a joint editorship: again it has been a meeting of two minds and artistic approaches in putting the Bulletin together, allowing a free flowing of ideas and concept for the IAPMA e.V. Bulletin, Confluence Vol. 62.

For the cover, IAPMA member Dominique Rousseau provided a photo of his work created in 2022 during the joint project "Confluence" with Phan Hài Bang in Hué, Vietnam.

Paper swatches: Brian Queen: sample in innovative 3D Printing Technique for chiaroscuro watermark.

Günes Evrim Yilmaz: Handmade Paper by recycling mostly white A4 coy sheets. Silk screen printing was made with gold paint.

FREEDOM

IAPMA e.V. Bulletin Vol. 61
Editors: Jacqueline Mallegni and Heather Matthew
Theme: Freedom

This year, the Bulletin has a joint editorship: it has been a meeting of two minds and artistic approaches in putting the Bulletin together, allowing a free flowing of ideas and concept for the IAPMA e.V. Bulletin, Freedom Vol. 61.

The paper cover is made of linen and cotton fabric scraps gathered from local clothing designers, as Atelier Retailles works solely from repurposed rag that would have otherwise been trashed. The beautiful paper cover features a debossed line made with a laser-cut form pressed into wet sheets and watermarks referencing topographical lines of mountainous terrain.

Paper swatches composed of 50/50 blend of cotton and linen fabrics by Bruce Bunting; Eco printed industrial paper by Erika Zutere.

Publication printed on Arctic Paper, Munken Lynx 150 g/m2; 300 g/m2
Printing and binding by Jelgavas Tipografija, Latvia.
