Liliane Rempakis is a self-taught artist with Greek-Dutch roots.
Her works are made of papier-mâché and almost always solid.
Characteristic of her works are the hands and faces.
Being a woman, emotions, faces and hands are always central,
these have always fascinated her.

She is inspired by the women of today and through the centuries.
Mythology, colors and the symbolism of many cultures are also an important aspect in her sculptures.
She looks, feels and tries to understand and then she translates this into her work.
In her works she is always looking for 'Fullness'.
By this she means: 'The feeling that it flows and flows, the whole must be 'round' or feel 'full'.

The sculptures she makes are almost entirely solid, solid papier-mâché.
They are built up layer by layer of paper mache and paper pulp.
Her works are an ode to Womanhood, with joy, love and everything that comes with it.
Just as every person is unique, every image and work is unique.

As a 'light-hearted' counterpart, she makes the Happy Angels and Arty Lamps.
The angels have long arms and legs, sometimes with white or black wings.
This without any profound intentions.
She uses CE approved cords and fittings to make the Arty lamps.
