Aysun Şahin Besci is an independent artist and designer from Türkiye whose practice focuses on paper, origami and book arts. She first encountered origami nearly two decades ago and has since explored paper as a medium for form, transformation, storytelling and creative thinking.
With a background in Industrial Product Design and Brand Communication, her multidisciplinary practice brings together origami, paper sculpture, tessellation, modular structures, handmade books and mixed media.
She is also the author of two children’s storybooks integrating origami into storytelling, combining narrative, paper folding and creative exploration.
Besci is the founder of Noipaper Art&Craft, established in 2009, where she continues to develop artistic projects, workshops and creative learning experiences for children and adults.
