15 slippers created using handprinted paper and dipped in beeswax. The title of this piece is 'Rondeau', the french word for a fifteen line poem. Each shoe is on its own, not a pair, an acknowledgement that history is fragmented and the details often reach us only in part. Whilst researching 17th century slippers and drawing them I had no indication of who the wearers were, we can never really know the whole story.
