Edward Babiarz' work, 'Intersectionality' was chosen from over 619 artworks submitted for consideration for this highly competitive juried exhibition. The 'Ellarslie Open' is the Delaware Valley’s premier annual juried art exhibition since its inception in 1983.
 
Composed of hand dyed, first cut cotton linter that was hand pressed and individually hand sculpted, 'Intersectionality' leads the recipient towards paths intertwined and untaken. Energy abounds and reveals caverns opening toward other explorations, inviting the viewer to look closer.
The artists' motivation to create this piece came from his inquisitive sense of how entangled forms can create a sense of wonder, compelling us to look deeper into unknown pathways.

Jan Alison Edwards and Ophélie Pauchet (mixed media artists and members of  the Association Chaine de Papier France) spent 6 weeks in summer 2019 on an artist’s residency in Northern Ireland. They were housed in a former grand convent with many workshop possibilities and the base of the Arts Group 'Shore Collective'.

The project consisted of three weeks research, experimentation and development on the use of an invasive species seaweed growing around the coast of Northern Ireland, as fibre for an installation project. The walk through the installation 'Walk in the Submarine Forest'  highlights the over use of plastics and the hidden damage being caused by so much plastic pollution in our sea and rivers.

The installation will be presented for the first time in the Sou Sou West Gallery of the Lyme Bay Arts Group Symondsbury Estate, Bridport Dorset UK from September 11 to 27 in the exhibition “CLIMATE CHANGE“ during the Eco Festival “INSIDE OUT“

The Museum of Papermaking in Duszniki-Zdrój (Bad Reinerz), located in an old paper mill from before 1562, after the reconstruction in 2017, adapted the spaces of the former drying rooms to exhibition halls. Fragile meets Monumental
Gjalt Blaauw and Ina Fekken are exhibiting in the Nagele museum.

Gjalt creates striking sculptures in clear forms with a poetic playfulness. The sculptures are formed in his head, the process of thinking, brooding is converted into sketches, ultimately in sculptures. Tension and balance are conditions. He works with steel, stone, paint, wood, everything that creates contradictions within a work. Much of his monumental work can be found in and around the city of Groningen.

Ina works with paper, installations currently form the core of her oeuvre, her other works arises from it. The inescapable influence that man has on nature / environment is its central motif. In her work, the subject contrasts with the sweetness of the technique and the fragile material. She has a strong relationship with the historic Groningen churches and has made temporary paper installations in various churches.

The exhibition features sculptures and rarely shown drawings on paper by Gjalt Blaauw, together with works in paper by Ina Fekken.

Postal Artists Books Project, consisting of three phases, in cooperation with the Association of Cyprus Paper Artists and Association of Turkish Paper Artists in the challenging conditions of the COVID-19 Pandemic, it emerged and was realized as a result of the search for alternatives where creativity in art knows no bounds.

It is important in terms of combining the creativity of artists from physically distant countries in a single book, as many artists from two different countries are matched with each other and the matching artists add their own interpretations to a single book.
This project brought art lovers and artists together with the unifying power and mission of art, the artists of both associations created their handmade book designs and sent them by mail to the artists they matched to complete the book, resulting in two books in total.

Collage, an old technique, has become an art over time when it was only a medium, an intermediary between photos, paintings and other materials.
At the time of cubism, of the Dada Movement, and especially with Futurism in Italy, it is experiencing significant development responding to new aspirations to produce more and faster ... "because art is the reflection of society" specifies Stéphane Guibert, curator of the exhibition, artist's agent, and member of the expert panel of the EMR.
Prévert was one of the greatest French collagists. Collage has always accompanied modernity. “Today's students dedicate themselves from school to this art which has gained its independence and established itself throughout the world.
It finds new support with digital technology capable of providing it with a variety of elements. It can drive modernity with digital creations”.

For the second year, the Espace Monet Rolinat will host the International Collage Days.
Twenty artists from all over the world (Japan, Cuba, Greece, Russia, Europe, etc.) will exhibit their creations directed by Stéphane Guibert, exhibition curator.

“I am showing all the matchboxes that I have put into the world up to now and a large installation with realized thoughts on these matchboxes. I draw stories directly on the wall with colored Japanese rice paper and put a second layer of dust of the story on top. The stories show actual people as Adam and Eve and a third gender in paradisiacal conditions surrounded by animals and plants.

This dust is realized in a thousand-fold enlargement. It is made of paper, colored and processed. Each individual piece stands for a time unit of our earth. It is charged with everything our earth has to offer. Everything that once was, crumbles back to dust. Is everything lost with it? Sand and dust of the desert Sahara are full of energy and fertilize the river Amazon... ”

13th Biennial of Saxon Printmaking
A selection of the 100 graphic works made by the expert jury reflects the whole range of the theme from 'the annoying to the productive disturber', from the perspective on personal situations to politically negotiated ones, from structurally designed sheets to the surprising discovery of a predator in the given theme. Peripheral areas of printmaking, the use of digital tools and the production of unique prints are becoming increasingly important.

What happens when dragons, sleeping under the earth, stir and shake it to destruction? When the artist, born under the sign of the dragon, is unsettled out of her wits by the forces of life unchained? When little dragons, lost and deprived, are desperate to make sense of their world? They fly, they rage, they soar. But hopefully, if allowed or helped to gain height, they change perspective, calm down, channel the energy and transform it.

Facing the fire within is one of the most liberating experiences that can be.

“When Dragons Awake” is much more than an exhibition. Presenting the paper works and light sculptures of Aline Dalgleish, it is a retrospective of the artist’s time in Croatia but it is also a charity project designed to raise funds for the benefit of the Association Mali Zmaj (Little Dragons) to be allocated to the development of their art therapy, creative workshops and mental well-being programmes for children in need. Along with collecting funds via ongoing events throughout the exhibition, five of the exhibited artworks will to be sold at auction. A chance for the artist to say goodbye to Croatia, and Thank You.

In 2020, MUSA, the Eretz Israel Museum, Tel Aviv will exhibit the first Tel Aviv Crafts and Design Biennale, which will draw a picture of the current scene in the various fields of crafts and design, with special emphasis on ceramics, glass, jewelry-making, textile and paper.
The biennale is the natural result of the museum's longtime interest in local material culture. It will collaborate with the Ceramic Artists Association of Israel and seek the support of the art and design academies and the leading institutions in the field. The chief curators of the biennale are Henrietta Eliezer Brunner and Yuval Saar, together with deputy curators Merav Rahat, Nir Hermet, and Leora Rozin.
