There are words that have always attracted me…. difference, between, crack.
They have in them, a strength, a dimension where I feel good. This is how I see my work – in an intermediate position. On the edge of borders, on the edge of categories, working with a great freedom in two or three dimensions. The paths I explore, are numerous and meet in alternating games – between the plan and the volume, the transparency and the opacity, the unity and the repetition. With this versatility, I play on the metamorphic powers of the paper pulp, in its natural state, often unpredictable.
For a few years now, I have also wanted to work outdoors with the idea of confronting, in situ, pulp – to face its history and explore, even further, the limits of this material.
Living in Capestang, I opened my studio – Papier & Co There, I have an introduction and demonstration area, which offers courses and workshops for children and adults, throughout the year. In my studio, you can discover various approaches to my artistic methods.
Training After my studies at Beaux Arts, to improve myself, I went to the so-called traditional techniques, mainly at the Conservatory of Ocher and Color Roussillon (84) and the Museu Moli de Paperer of Capellades in Spain. Since then I make my own pasta by recycling paper or textile mostly linen or cotton. This is thanks to the support of Moulin de Brousses and Villaret who regularly welcome me and make available to me their Dutch stack and their experience.
Il y a des mots qui depuis toujours m'attirent : Écart, entre, interstice… Ils possèdent en eux, une force, une dimension où je me sens bien. C'est ainsi que je conçois mon travail, dans une position intercalaire à la lisière des frontières, au bord des catégories, en travaillant dans une grande liberté en deux ou en trois dimensions. Les pistes que j’explore sont nombreuses et se rencontrent dans des jeux d’alternance : entre le plan et le volume, la transparence et l’opacité, entre l’unité et la répétition Dans cette polyvalence, je joue sur les pouvoirs métamorphiques des pâtes à papier, à l’image de la nature souvent imprévisible.
Depuis quelques années, j'ai aussi souhaité intervenir en extérieur dans l'idée de confronter In situ la pâte à papier face à son histoire et explorer encore plus loin les limites de ce matériau.
Installée sur Capestang, j'y ai ouvert mon atelier : Papier & Co ; Un espace d'initiation et de monstration, qui propose tout au long de l'année des stages et des ateliers enfants/adultes.
Sur place on peut y découvrir diverses approches de ma démarche artistique.
Formation Après mon cursus aux Beaux Arts, pour me perfectionner, je me suis orientée vers les techniques dites traditionnelles, principalement au Conservatoire des Ocres et de la Couleur de Roussillon (84) ainsi qu’au Museu Moli de Paperer de Capellades en Espagne. Depuis je fabrique moi-même mes pâtes en recyclant le papier ou le textile le plus souvent de lin ou de coton. Ceci grâce à l'appui du Moulin de Brousses et Villaret qui m’accueille régulièrement et met à ma disposition leur pile hollandaise et leur expérience.
