Tulay Pirgalioglu
Biography:
I was born into an urban life in Arabahmet Mahallesi Lefkosa which is one of the oldest settlements in Cyprus. I grew up in and spent my childhood years in Lefkosa where I graduated from “Lefkosa Turk Kiz Lisesi” in 1972. I have always been interested in nature paintings, ever since I was a child. My first oil colors were gifted to me by my family member when I was 11 years old. This has played a significant role in my development as an artist. I continued my studies at Barnet College of Art in London, England where I majored in Environmental Design. After studying environmental design in England for over 3 years, I came back to Cyprus to further my education in banking and was later appointed as the company director of Zekai and Co. During this period, in order to keep my interests and love for art alive, I worked alongside the famous artists Ali Atakan, Favel Bevan and Asik Mene.
In the later years of my life, I took the initiative to join Arkin Creative Arts and Design University (ARUCAD) which is an art-oriented thematic university with a myriad of disciplines. Thanks to ARUCAD’s extensive international education system, I found comfort in being able to represent myself in an international setting.
Throughout my 4 years at ARUCAD, the academy has given me the opportunity to discover and absorb information about the history and development of art, along with techniques utilized by famous artists. I graduated with Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) from ARUCAD in 2022. After graduating in 2022, I became an active member of KKSD and later joined IAMPA in 2023. In 2024, I also began my role as an art instructor at Clay Art Studio.

April 2023: KKSD “Paper Touch 1” at the AKM Exhibition Hall.
September 2023: IAMPA “Suitcase Exhibition” in Germany.
November 2023: Attended KKSD “Yegane Ask” exhibition.
December 2023: Attended “Kagida Dokunus II” exhibition in Ankara.
February 2024: Attended “Draft” exhibition at ARUCAD Art Rooms Exhibition Hall.
