Probably after my first sweet, I was hooked on paper for entirely honourable reasons ! It still surprises me how something as magnificent and omnipresent as paper, is also often overlooked or taken for granted. Whilst I make recycled artisanal paper, chiefly from precious scraps of conservation grade mount board left over from framing, which I then use for printing my art work, I also keep researching and playing with semi 3DM work, often from recycled papers.
It is perhaps inevitable in our current world to try and make something of beauty, which squeezes a smile from someone or makes them stop for a moment. My current work is focused on that: pure, unbridled joy in the process and result of paper play and manipulation.
