Founded in 1993, Shanghai Industrial Design Association (SIDA) is a cross-industry, professional and non-profit social organization composed of enterprises and institutions engaged in design services, including industrial designers and other types of design professionals voluntarily. The competent authorities of the association are Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization and Shanghai Municipal Bureau of Societies.
With the aim of “serving enterprises, regulating the industry and developing the industry”, the association is committed to building bridges and links among design enterprises, design colleges and universities, manufacturing enterprises, commercial enterprises and government departments, and promoting the integration, enhancement, dissemination, fusion and development of the industrial design industry.
