She lives in Reinach, near Basel, and is working as an arts and form therapist. As a freelance artist she is a member of IAPMA and GEDOK.
After having been occupied during several decades with etching, aquatint and related printing technologies, I discovered paper art as a new form of expression with pulp as a sensual stimulant and a product with an intensive signal effect and expressive trail.
Exhibitions in Switzerland, Germany and France.
I conducted several workshops such as programs for continuing education for teachers as well as at the VHS and in my own studio.
STATEMENT:
My artistic activity is a process of exploration and discovery where I will be guided by the nature of the material for the eventual shape and design. These can be very different base materials, always based upon their sensual properties .
I am fascinated by the constructive-concrete arts - the reduction of polychromatism on to a real surface.
The surface condition is different, depending on its formation This creates a special dynamic that amplifies the plasticity and thus creating a perspective impression.
The creative process and the medium pulp do not permit a programmatic geometry. For me this means to be disciplined while simultaneously offering playful creative possibilities. This results in an interaction between a clear design and balance of colour and surface.
