Making paper is what I have found to best connect to everything that nourishes me. It is the desire to create a space where fibers meet, dance with light, tell me stories and reveal all their beauty; this is what feeds me. To honor the organic world, to celebrate it...the sheet of paper is a place of experiences and encounters with the living in its most creative aspect. I find there the promise of continual renewal in the field of possibilities, where the imaginary and the creative can express themselves. The sheet is no longer a simple medium or substrate but becomes a work of art within itself. Each one is unique. I like to inscribe the process of creating the sheet in time. It is a physical act which requires being in contact with the present moment.
