I live in a medium-sized city in northern Sweden called Sundsvall. The city is surrounded by high mountains and beautiful nature, next to the Baltic Sea, and has one of Sweden's most beautiful stone houses created after the great fire of 1888. Its decorated stone facades and old Swedish folk beliefs are a source of inspiration for my illustrations and paper-cutting art.
I sketch my motifs on the back of a sheet of paper and after I have finished cutting my picture, I turn the paper over and thus get a front-page clean from pencil lines.
In a way, you could say that I tell fairy tales with paper and a knife.
