I am a visual artist and also a paper artist.
My artistic practice is focused on research, experimentation and production of work with different materials and techniques such as installation, textile, artist book, performance and handmade paper.

I am interested in a sustainable practice, so I use local and/or recyclable materials, such as non-wood fibers and natural dyes: I explore their capabilities and multiple potencies to express internal states, non-literal reflections, subtle perceptions that speak from a poetic space of their own.

Working for more than 18 years in the processes of handmade paper, through artistic research, tracing the living history with the peoples of Mexico, as well as the experience in the workshops I have collaborated, putting my hands in the fibers, both to make sheets and to create pieces, I have been discovering its symbolism, as well as its multiple possibilities of use, from the ritual, the use of the support of images and texts, as its textile dimension where from my work I have begun to explore: paper as a textile, a forgotten textile.
Aspiring to diffuse the limits between art and craftsmanship in my process and showing the paper as a work in itself.
