My work seeks to reflect hidden aspects within the landscape, its fragility and changing nature in which hand-made paper pieces explore this fragility. I walk daily within my surroundings close to Morecambe Bay, collecting washed up rope, wood and rare finds of fabric and leather. The hand-made paper pieces, made from plants in the locality, are created from these finds and are a memory of the patterns, texture and traces left behind that reflect the frail nature of that landscape and the marks left by man.
